Turbo bike is sick.
Just as I was gearing up to raise the boost and test the turbo I found out that the bearing was fecked. However I did get some boost and some extra fuel a few times and it was absolutely terrifying.
So some time next week I'll be replacing the turbo bearing with a £25 kit from ebay.
I'll be documenting the process as I'm sure that refitting an unbalanced turbo fan and spinning it to 100000rpm will result in the mother of all fail possum of all explosions or something.
If anyone was wondering I've taken it to Cornwall since its maiden voyage at the R&S

Re: Turbo bike is sick.
have you considered buying a bulletproof flak vest?
many people who drag race turbobikes wear them. can you think of the reason why....

If you mark the positions of the impellers you may actually get away without balancing.

Well I got it assembled and back on the bike but dealing with neighbour has kept me from testing it very much.

on the plus side though that clutch is so cleverly designed that theres no way it would fail during a runaway so at least he wont get shot off down the road at 8psi boost.... right?

I did come home sans turbo boost with such rapidity that I now understand what brake fade is and need to upgrade the stock 1200 bandit crapilers.

shell out the extra few quid for armstrong pads, the 6/12 and the xj (same front end) both had brakes good enough for me to squeal the tyre with one finger and also never experienced any fade.

Thanks.
It may spurr me on to make it a proper Funny Front End utilising the same wheel that is on the rear and an idea from Tony Foales book. Then I can put a vented disc off something exotic on it........+ about another 50kg

I've got a couple of flack jackets, I could lend you one, but they may be a little on the large side... you might just look like some kind of ninja turtle
