Just wanted to get this out of the way bc I may not be my usual spritely self. I've been recently diagnosed with a Neuroendocrine Tumor (malignant) and have been going through chemotherapy. Will be on chemo through may before my next round of MRI/ Scans to see if surgery is needed. I'm determined to still ride and have fun, but also probably will need naps. So if I look a bit grey you'll know why. Topic is not taboo so feel free to ask questions or whatever - just wanted to give you all the heads up.

I'm not real keen on posting crap like this on FB, but it's also kind of weird that none of you know about this so maybe putting up a little post here is a way to loop you in Fingers crossed I'm back to my normal self and get a clean bill of health this summer (and also don't die).

Damn, that is terrible to hear. Did a bit of reading in and see it can be a quite aggressive kind? This came up during tests for your foot?

Well my stomach was giving me shit during foot surgery, which I thought was just bc of the pain killers they gave me. My stomach was riddled with ulcers. So I went to get it checked out, and basically about 15 tests and 2 doctors later they found I actually have a tumor in my duodenum. My diagnosis is officially Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.

The happy news is that there are no tumors in my pancreas and liver for now, so chemo + surgery is hopefully keeping it from spreading.

Fuck, you're not having a good few months recently are you.
Definitely glad to hear that it's not as bad as it could be and that you'll still be about and doing stuff- be good to see you at the weekend.
