Sheepskin seat crafting
I'm still not quiet healed enough to be on two wheels yet, so I decided to use this beautiful weather to do a little crafting for the bike! I've heard a lot of people tote the triumphs of sheepskin for long distance riding, so I picked up a cheap "rug" on ebay. However, when I sat on it on the bike it slipped around far too much for my liking. So i "fixed" it! The back is now lined with no-slip stuff and it's much more stable on the bike (no luggage straps or bungees required).
First, I taped off the actual fur to keep it from getting to sticky. I used our leftover tile floor adhesive (this stuff is awesome - I've used it for like 10 different things now) and stuck the backing too it, trimmed it down, and removed the "protective" masking tape. For an extra layer of security, I also added a line of the super-stick hot glue (thanks Mr. Mouse) around the edges. And voila! I'm looking forward to a happy bum.

Looking good - the downside with these is, if you leave them on the bike long enough, they will grow their own population...
Still, curious to hear your verdict on how it improves comfort!

Improves comfort only if you like having a wet arse all year round

I had lambswool seat cover in Aus, it was the dogs danglers when temperatures exceeded 35 Celcius. Lot of use for that in Nottingham then.
Joking apart, it was invaluable on long hot rides, you just have to make it quickly detachable for when it rains

They do shrink if you put them in a tumble dryer
