I'm very on the fence about this whole apocalyptica thing. I don't exactly find larping a great draw, but this whole apocalypse thing does tend to bring some cool/ creative machines out of the woodwork. That being said, they are marketing this as a T & A event, rather than a rad bike/ car show. I know all you boys surely won't complain, but it doesn't exact motivate me to get there. I'm bored of scantily glad girls standing in the way of bikes. I don't want to look at your tits. [rant rant rant]

That being said, it's been a "summer" filled with all work and no play and I do miss you crazy lot.

They do seem to be trying awfully hard on FB. Compared to Nik and his yearly MS-paint-made black and white poster!

I've not checked the FB page recently, it would be a shame if the marketing put people off attending- something like this doesn't need to be T&A.

I'm not at all into Larpage but I do want to go for the opportunity to see ratty stuff/ the road run/ have a laugh with youse lot and quietly laugh at the people who take it seriously (apologies sort of to those on here who are Larpists).

I do enjoy looking at the female form of course but it's not needed all the time, I've been to strip clubs in the past and ended up talking about steam trains and tanks at the bar- after about 10 mins it's all the same and I'd rather have a natter than have to stick a pound in a glass every 5 minutes whilst stood drinking Fosters elbow to elbow with a load of twatty chavs (maybe I've been going to the wrong strip club?).

Content aside their photography needs a lot of help. Currently it seems that it's only objective is to make the event looks as poor as possible :-/

If enough folks are going I'd perhaps have a shot at it, though I must admit the whole dressing up costume thing really isn't very appealing.

ive thrown together some shite using nackered stuff I had around but im pretty sure any of us lots daily riding gear would be 'in costume' especially if there was a green lane or 2 en route lol

My 'costume' consists of:
an old Mercedes hub cap
an army webbing harness system(?)
army pouches
bits of chain
a couple of animal skulls
some hoover tubing

That's if I go on the zombie, if I'm on the solo then it'll be some of the above depending on what can be carried in addition to beerage
