Never thought we'd see the day

I did indeed see photographic evidence of said bike looking somewhat peculiar. Apparently the 2 stroke deisel burner of win has been replaced with 4T twin cylinder quad bike silliness of some description.

No doubt still running happily on a mysterious  blend of unleaded, diesel, bells whiskey, used paint stripper and piss.

i heard it was a 250 wetdream lump in it now, I stopped paying attention after the bike stopped defying the laws of physics.

My understanding is it's nothing so mudane as just fitting a NORMAL engine.

It's out of a quad bike for one thing so the gearing is all to-pot.

It's also some odd hybrid of a chinese 125 and a 250. 250 barrels with a 125 head and bottom end I think. Carburetion hilarity ensures.

Oh, and he was gong to fit a left hand throttle for some reason. Presumably to make up for the fact he now has a left hand chain (and had to reverse the rear wheel fitment)?

I was trying to persuade him to fit a hand-crank start operated through the crank inspection cap.

Some small quad engines are pull-cord started sometimes aren't they? That would be suitably odd.
