Event is back on, same dates. I just recieved a discout code for re-buying tickets as i had bought one and got a refund when they previously cancelled

I'll be going I reckon. I'll probably be in the weaponised truck though, rather than on the bike. It's harder to mount a 30 cal and recoiless rifle on the Scrapster.

I cannot afford Wasteland weekend this year, what with having bought a house in January and going to the Aussie mad max thing back in Feb and March.Like all newly purchased houses, mine needs loads of small and large jobs doing to it, and I can't just call my landlord and consider it someone else's problem.

So I'm going to try for apocalyptica, it'd be good to get a UK post apoc event going.

Between house fixing jobs I'm frantically trying to get my KLE 500 (which used to be Scott's) into a survival bike worthy of going. So far I have managed to get a GPZ500S tank onto it, so it's going to be a post apoc trailbike with ratfighter styling influences. Colour scheme may be influenced by the futurstic British Army tanks in the "Children of men" film, which is a pretty good depiction of the distopian future that the UK is heading towards...

So yeah, I hope to join our tribe.

Got my ticket again today, I best continue work on my outfit thingy I guess.

So who was coming to this? What time is everyone getting there? Anyone passing my way on the route? I finish work at midday on friday thanks to a lucky rotation in shifts

Meself and Gary (I'll respond for him 'cos i think he lurks here but don't post) are going, not sure when I'm getting there yet as I have childcare to sort still- if all goes well on that front I'd like to get there early/ mid afternoon Friday.

Any idea what time we can arrive from and are bbq/ fires allowed? (I bet it's no fires )

Cross your fingers, toes and gonads for me, this weekend is critical to getting the KLE on the road. The GPZ tank turned out to be old and sprang several leaks. A new one arrived yesterday. I still need to make my patented opening& closing lockable seat, and then test drive it.

I'll update you all on Monday with my progress. If I am going, I'd like get some phone numbers for those who are also going so we can meet up.
If I'm going I'll do Edinburgh to Yorkshire on Thursday afternoon/evening, and do the rest on the Friday so I would arrive with enough time to set up camp in daylight. I could well meet up with those heading down the M1 on Friday

Ill be on the m1 on friday, also have a working kettle in Leicestershire should you fancy a brew and a piss stop on the way. If your deffo coming then pm me on farcebook and ill send you my number mate
