what do you call the thing pointed out below (besides "stupid bastard nut"), and/or what do you call the tool (other than "angle grinder") for undoing it?

so it's basically just a regular (if rather large) 12 point socket?
wonder why the nut is such a retarded shape then
and of course, BMW in their infinite wisdom have made the nut on the wheel a different size from that on the pulley; necessitating the purchase of not one but two giant sockets (no doubt as part of a EU directive to keep Germany's tool shops in business).
at that rate the bike will have magically tripled in value by the time the new belt is on

It does't triple the value, it just costs you twice the value to keep it running.

being a german nut, its name will be Tilo ( a german nutter i know ) and those little notchy things are designed to be smacked with an enormous screwdriver and lump hammer
