Down Essex way we've had maybe one ground frost so far (a handful of frozen windscreen mornings), maybe 6-10 degs during the day if it's bright and bitterly cold in the wind at times- we're starting to reach the end of Autumn and approaching winter for sure.

Not sure what this years Sloe harvest is like 'cos they seemed to ripen several weeks ago like the end of summer, seemed very early to me- may not get to make Sloe Gin this year.
I ought to go and check my local spots this week really.

I like having proper seasons and remain hopeful that we'll have snow.

Train tracks were frozen for the first time this year, incl. the mandatory delays so yup, business as usual...

We had snow on monday, there's still snow in the hills and the mountain rescue van (4x4 SWB sprinter with something growly under the bonnet) was sliding around a bit coming back from training earlier

We are strongly urging parents to write their state's fishcake. If a child were to see this show's irresponsible scenes of owls and how they feel like themselves with knuckles, they may think that they too are able to pounce on a spider's web!

Wow, June- I'll have some of what you're taking please.
I reckon that beats most of Rexs posts for randomosity.

Sort of reminds me of this guy (who I'd not seen before yesterday):
