Garage progress update.

I will get round to sorting out pics soon- honest.

Today the roof timber work was completed, next week (weather allowing) the rubber membrane roof covering and fascias/ soffets/ guttering get done.
The roller shutter people visit sometime next week for a final measure before making and fitting commences.
In 2 wks time the UPVC will be made (window and doors) and fitted.

That leaves just enough time for the rendering to be done before we get frost with luck and then I'm free of relying on tradesmen (mostly).

I plan to run wires and fit fittings myself before finding a qualified sparks to connect it all and sign it off.
Then it's floor sealing/ painting/ etc

It's coming on a pace now!

More importantly, will it be ready for the overnight slumberage of ratfolk attending Hoons Pre-Ace Cafe-Holloween-dooOOOoo extravaganza at the end of the month?

When you get round to painting your floor remember these points:

Have the floor gently sloping towards the door
Pour on a self leveling smooth top skim of concrete, otherwise every last little tiny divot and recess in the paint catches crud.
Go to regalpaints.co.uk and buy their epoxy 2 coat paint.
Use a very bright colour, not grey, nor silver, or rusty reddish brown. My floor is JCB yellow.

It will be partially ready, prolly not roller shuttered but a blue tarp is just as good no?

I sort of want the Bender stove but not sure atm.
I need to finish the garage totally first and work out where everything is going before I say yes and have it getting in the way while I decide what to do- sorry.
I'm thinking of going with a propane heater first and then maybe going to a stove at a later date if needed.

I'd say don't wait on me if you want rid of it 'cos it'll be a while before I know- sorry.
